... in response to What is Alkaptonuria?
  1. jR Islam jR Islam United States says:

Hello, I am a 37 year old male from Bangladesh, residing in the U.S since 1995 and prior to that used to live in Bahrain (Middle East). I have never lived in Bangladesh. Recently my wife and I got our genetic testing done and I was the only one who's result back as positive carrier of Alkaptonuria.

I have been doing some online researches and even though I haven't had any symptoms and we do have a few more tests pending; I was wondering if there was anything specific I should look into asking my doctors and also precautions I should start looking into.

I do understand that medicine is still continuing its research on this but any suggestions and/or advise will help.

    Thank you in advance -
