Currently the CDC only recognizes Lyme testing that, according to the CDC's own reporting, misses 90% of the Lyme cases each year.  300,000 new cases, not 30,000 as previously admitted.  Lyme attacks the immune system and the body no longer creates the antibodies in the presence of Lyme.  It is very likely that many more than the 62 cases found actually had the Bartonella infection.  The chances of testing positive by current CDC standards decreases rapidly the longer you have had the infection.
