    and comparison with 1918 excess death rates of order 200% with 2020 excess death rates of order 20% is idiotic. Not to mention that loss of QALYs would be an additional order of magnitude higher in 1918 due to "spanish flue" affecting a far younger demographic (vs covid average mortality aroung age ~80).

    Anyway, sorry to be so critical, but doesn't this medical web site have an editor? Putting half baked articles like this out is just adding chaos and noise to legitimate public health concerns.
