I see there is concerns from the above. Over 3 yeats after this article came out, it looks silly just reading it. Hundreds of thousands of deer, elk, moose, and mule deer with cwd have been consumed by people and NOT ONE SINGLE CASE has been discovered of it passing to people through consumption.
Another pseudo-science scare tactic....

    Not only has it not transferred to humans after thousands of pounds consumed, it also hasn't transferred to predictors frequently consuming it. The primate being referred is a squirrel monkey and is not a suitable candidate as a similar disease scarpies was also found in squirrel monkeys that have never passed to humans. Cynomolgus macaques would be more medically acceptable for cwd wich found a 0% transmission rate after testing. Not saying it's not possible but very unlikely.
