    Hi, Raymond.  I'm not a doctor, but you certainly don't have to be in order to sort this out.  can check out www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7410805/ and also Fig. 2 on rcm.imrpress.com/.../RCM2020264.shtml to see when zinc is helpful for COVID-19 patients.  Patients on ventilators are well into the inflammatory phase.  Zinc wouldn't help these patients, because the viral-replication phase was long over (Fig. 2 on rcm.imrpress.com/.../RCM2020264.shtml; if you don't get the full text, you can search for "Multifaceted highly targeted sequential multidrug treatment of early ambulatory high-risk SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19)").
