My youngest daughter (now 12) at age 6-7 went without a diagnosis for 11 months - finally Infectious Disease diagnosed her PFAPA.  She too had tonsilectomy and Adnenoids out and did not have any episodes after that.  However, she did struggle with severe anxiety -and some neurological issues such as a gait change after her illness period.   NOW, at age 18 my oldest daughter is having the same symptoms.  I did not know that adults could get it but apparently they can.  We go to the Rheumatologist today.  Prednisone stopped the fevers for my youngest but they came more frequently.  I am hoping progress had been made for treatment.  curious as to how yours played out - Thanks.
