    Interesting to note but, often times, people cannot control their living or work environment to the extent of avoiding same.

    However, maybe there should be more consideration regarding being forced to listen to music when you are "on hold" or choosing to shop....or to the exposure from the constant noisy hum of certain models of refrigerators [that there was no available data, for comparison of, during time of purchase], or the fact that people get away with their car stereos blaring so loudly, you cannot even hear your own conversation, even though they are two car lengths away from you [let alone an emergency vehicle]. We certainly have a long way to go when it comes to the effects of noise pollution [and that's even if you are NOT sound sensitive].
