MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando has received a prestigious national accreditation for its treatment of breast disease. The Breast Care Center has been granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.

GO drug may improve outcome of bone marrow transplantation for select pediatric leukemia patients

Combining the drug gemtuzumab ozogamicin with conventional chemotherapy may improve the outcome of bone marrow transplantation for some children battling high-risk acute myeloid leukemia, according to a study led by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The results appear in the current edition of the journal Cancer.

Immunocore’s Phase IIa clinical trial for IMCgp100 in melanoma initiates in the UK and USA

Immunocore Limited, the Oxford-based biotechnology company developing novel biological drugs to treat cancer and viral disease, announced that its most advanced ImmTAC drug, IMCgp100 for the treatment of late stage melanoma, has reached Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) and the dose escalation part of this Phase I clinical study has been completed.
