When fighting disease, our immune cells need to reach their target quickly. Researchers at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) now discovered that immune cells actively generate their own guidance system to navigate through complex environments.

Combination of cediranib and lenalidomide does not improve outcomes in advanced thyroid cancer

Results of a multicenter phase II clinical trial led by the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center show that adding an immunomodulatory agent to treatment with the targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) cediranib did not make a difference in outcomes for treating patients with an advanced form of thyroid cancer that develops from thyroid follicular cells called differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC).

Amgen to discuss application for LUMAKRAS® (sotorasib) for the treatment of KRAS G12C-positive NSCLC at FDA advisory committee meeting

Amgen today announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee (ODAC) will review data supporting the supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for the full approval of LUMAKRAS® (sotorasib) for adults with previously treated locally advanced or metastatic KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at a meeting on Oct. 5, 2023.
