Transcept Pharmaceuticals Inc. has received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its drug Intermezzo - a drug that can help people get back to sleep after waking in the middle of the night. The treatment contains a low-dose of zolpidem tartrate, the active ingredient in Paris-based Sanofi’s sleeping pill Ambien.

Mosquito borne virus alert for Western Australia

There is a mosquito alert for people living and holidaying in northern and central WA after a high number of reports of encephalitis and Ross River virus. A recent study by The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and State Farm Insurance Companies ® hones in on the most common errors teen drivers make that lead to a serious crash.
