CEL-SCI initiates Multikine Phase III clinical trial for head and neck cancer in Hungary

CEL-SCI Corporation announced today that it has commenced its Phase III clinical trial for Multikine®, the Company's flagship immunotherapy, at the National Institute of Oncology in Budapest, Hungary. Enrollment is expected to start soon in this center. The study is already ongoing at twelve clinical sites in the United States, Canada, Poland and India.

Cancer survivors and friends to attend San Diego's Survivor Beach event on June 19

Hundreds of surfers, cancer survivors and friends will gather together, with surfboards in hand, on La Jolla Shores Sunday, June 19 for an annual San Diego tradition: Survivor Beach. Attendees will place surfboards along the edge of the shore, nose-to-tail, from Scripps Pier down La Jolla Shores, with the goal of forming a record-breaking line of several hundred surfboards.

The nail-gun neck injury and treatment incurred by a 25-year-old carpenter described in the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine article might read like an oddity, but nail guns are actually a common form of penetrating low-velocity injury. What made this case unique was that the patient incurred a penetrating wound to the cervical spine by a barbed nail lodged in close proximity to the right vertebral artery.

To fully optimize a drug therapy for osteoporosis and low bone mineral density (BMD), patients should maintain vitamin D levels above the limits recently recommended by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), according to a new study by researchers from Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. The study will be presented at the Endocrine Society's Annual Meeting in Boston, June 4-7.
