Affymax first quarter total revenue increases to $63.2 million

Affymax, Inc. today reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012. The net income for the first quarter of 2012 was $31.5 million (or $0.87 per share) compared to a net loss of $9.6 million (or $(0.36) per share) for the first quarter of 2011.

Intellect Neurosciences, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of disease-modifying therapeutic agents for the treatment of Alzheimer's and other neurological diseases, today announced two new programs in its Alzheimer's disease development pipeline.
