MitoSciences awarded $244,000 grant under IRS Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project

MitoSciences Inc. today announces that it has been awarded a $244,000 grant under the IRS Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project. This award was made in support of MitoSciences' efforts to develop the world's most advanced set of assays for unlocking the role of metabolism in cancer and other critical diseases, and for helping researchers to design and monitor the most effective therapies for those conditions.

Ortho-McNeil terminates collaboration agreement with Arena on APD597 trial program

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that, following the completion of a Phase 1 clinical trial program for APD597 (JNJ-38431055) under its collaboration with Arena, Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has decided not to advance APD597 and has notified Arena that it is terminating the collaboration, effective December 28, 2010.
