Cipher Pharmaceuticals' enrollment milestone in CIP-ISOTRETINOIN study triggers $2.0M milestone payment

Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc. today announced that it has reached the enrollment mid-point in its Phase III safety study of CIP-ISOTRETINOIN, the Company's novel, patented formulation of isotretinoin, which is used in the treatment of severe, nodular acne. To date, more than 400 patients have been enrolled. Achieving this milestone triggers a US$2.0 million milestone payment from Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cipher's U.S. marketing and distribution partner.

The units were sold at a price of US$1.70 per unit for gross proceeds of US$20 million. Net proceeds were US$18,150,000 after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions, and estimated offering expenses.

Labopharm prices underwritten public offering of 11.7M units

Labopharm Inc. today announced that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 11,764,706 newly issued units at a public offering price of US$1.70 per unit. Each unit is comprised of one of the Company's common shares and a warrant to purchase 0.5 of a common share. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share of the Company upon payment of US$2.30 per share, exercisable at any time during the period beginning six months after the date of issuance and ending three years following the date of issuance.
