Corentec’s two-in-one Metal on Poly Bearing cup system utilizes a ceramic liner along with a polyethylene liner. The polyethylene liner applies UHMWPE (Highly Cross-Linked UHMWPE), which has proven to result in 94 percent less wear than than conventional PE liners used in in vitro conditions. Also, the suffcient thickness (>6mm) of UHMWPE, provides strengthened resistance against wearing. In terms of cup and ceramic insertion, the self-locating design uses taper locking to make the insertion easier and precise. The stable locking mechanism is designed to provide excellent congruency as well as stable fixation for push-out, rotation, and tilting. The innovative stem neck design has increased ROM to prevent potential impingement and dislocation.
