Survey reveals that majority of adult Americans fear the dentist

In a 2009 survey conducted by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), over 80% of adult Americans revealed they fear the dentist, with over half of those questioned saying fear might actually prevent them from even stepping foot into a dental office, an alarming discovery for dentists already suffering from the down economy.

Fitch Ratings assigns an 'F1+' short-term rating to the $60,900,000 Washington Health Care Facilities Authority variable rate revenue bonds, series 2002B (Catholic Health Initiatives). The short-term 'F1+' rating is based on the liquidity support of a standby bond purchase agreement (SBPA) provided by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. The long-term rating (currently 'AA') continues to be based on the rating assigned to the Catholic Health Initiatives revenue bonds.

UCLA's Laboratory of Neuro Imaging awarded $1.9 million NIH ARRA grant

UCLA researchers have received 80 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) grants totaling $19.4 million from the National Institutes of Health thus far. UCLA's largest NIH ARRA grant to date was $1.9 million, awarded to UCLA's Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI), which is dedicated to creating scientific approaches to mapping how the brain is structured and how it works.
