Del Global Technologies Corp. and UMG, INC. have completed the transaction to sell certain assets and the product lines of Del Medical Imaging from Del Global to UMG. The transfer of ownership was finalized on November 24, 2009. The name of the new entity is Del Medical, Inc. and will remain at its current location in Roselle, IL.

Global Fund approves 'in principle' $47M grant for reducing spread of HIV among MSM, transgender in South Asia

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has approved, "in principle," a $47 million grant to reduce the spread of HIV among gay and other men who have sex with men in seven south Asian countries, IANS/Thaindian.com reports. According to a statement IANS/Thaindian.com reports was released by the Global Fund, in New Delhi, "This [project] marks the first time, the Global Fund will support a major regional project in Asia specifically addressing men who have sex with men (MSM), transgenders and HIV."

No evidence of improved survival for epinephrine administered patients during ACLS

Patients with an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest who received intravenous (IV) drug administration during treatment, recommended in life support guidelines, had higher rates of short term survival but no statistically significant improvement in survival to hospital discharge or long-term survival, compared to patients who did not receive IV drug administration, according to a study in the November 25 issue of JAMA.
