Alliant Health Plans, a not-for-profit health plan with a radically new approach focused on patient care, and Global Behavioral Solutions (gBehavior), the industry leader in the utilization of incentive-based behavior modification strategies, have formed an alliance to launch Alliant Sense, a wellness rewards program that motivates members and patients to make healthy life choices.

Dr. Eric Jensen with Cornerstone Medical Group said, "Alliant was founded because local physicians wanted to provide the same level of care to the community they expected for their families. We believe wellness is a key component to quality care." In an effort to further improve the health of our members, Alliant and gBehavior are introducing Alliant Sense to drive participation in wellness initiatives. People enrolled in our health plans will have the opportunity to earn incentives by participating in activities to improve their own health and well being.

Albert Ertel, COO of Alliant Health Plans, said, "Partnering with gBehavior to launch Alliant Sense is a 'first' in the industry. Our wellness program provides an opportunity for a health insurance company to use incentives to get patients thinking and acting wellness and prevention without interrupting any patient/physician relationship. Alliant Sense actually enhances the role of primary care - 'get your annual physical, get your flu shot, follow your doctor's suggestions and be rewarded.' gBehavior's approach to improving policyholder wellness through incentives is a proven concept founded on forward thinking and great service. Our company philosophies work well together. Through Alliant Sense, we are actively demonstrating that we are willing to put patients ahead of profits by 'putting our money where it counts'."

Don Doster, President of gBehavior, said, "We are very excited about working with Alliant Health Plans in implementing Alliant Sense. It is refreshing to work with an insurance carrier that truly cares about their members and is willing to reward them for taking preventive measures to ensure good health." gBehavior's revenue model is very unique and one of a kind in the incentive industry as it is a "pay for compliance" model.

This means that gBehavior is motivated to encourage Alliant's members to take preventive action regarding their health as gBehavior is only paid when Alliant members reach their wellness goals. Once goals are met participants in Alliant Sense have the opportunity to redeem the points they earn for items they choose, through an enormous online incentive mall - one of the largest in the world, with over 5 million award choices as well as just about any gift card imaginable, travel opportunities and even professional sporting event tickets. In addition, through gBehavior's propriety technology the company delivers real-time reporting capabilities to measure program milestones and progress.
