Special year-end dividend of $1.00 per share declared by Daxor

Daxor Corporation (NYSE Amex: DXR), a medical instrumentation and biotechnology company, today announced that The Board of Directors has voted to declare a special year-end dividend of $1.00 per share. The dividend will be paid to shareholders of record as of December 10, 2009. The dividend will be paid on Thursday, December 24, 2009.

The Company previously paid dividends in 2009 of $0.10 per share on June 15th and $0.25 per share on September 8th. The total dividends paid in 2009 will be $1.35 per share.

In 2008, the Company paid total dividends of $1.50 per share as follows: $0.25 per share on August 27th and November 26th and $1.00 per share on December 30th.

It is the intention of Company management to pay total dividends during each calendar year of at least $1.00 per share and to make at least three separate dividend payments during each year. Management will not declare any yearly dividends that are not covered by current earnings.
