Zynx Health, the market leader in providing evidence-based and experience-based clinical decision support solutions, today announced its partnership with the Healthcare Solutions Division of Keane, Inc., allowing the integration of Zynx Health solutions with Keane’s OptimumTM electronic health records (EHR) system. This partnership will offer ZynxOrder at Keane’s acute care facilities and allow Zynx Health to provide the latest evidence-based clinical best practices for clinicians at the point of care, resulting in better care for patients.
Keane will be able to integrate ZynxOrder to its EHR for its current hospitals and prospective customers. Supporting hospitals’ eligibility for full financial incentives as outlined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), this partnership underscores implementing EHRs that demonstrate meaningful use and measurable improvements in patient care by 2011.
“Keane is very excited to be partnering with Zynx,” said Walt Kaczor, senior vice president of Keane’s Healthcare Solutions Division. “This opportunity brings together two organizations with the same goal in mind—assisting our clients in providing quality health care services in the most efficient manner possible. With Zynx Health's leading evidence-based clinical decision support solutions integrated with our suite of clinical applications in Keane OptimumTM, patients will benefit from 24/7 availability of evidence-based guidelines essential to appropriate patient care and management.”
With ZynxOrder embedded into Keane’s clinical offering, Optimum iMedTM, Keane customers and new prospects will have access to the latest information in clinical decision support diagnosis and problem-driven order sets to allow for optimized patient care. This access will increase physician adoption of CPOE in the short term, another key point for ARRA reimbursement.
“Our partnership with Keane enables their providers to have access to best practices and clinical information based on Zynx Health’s intensive research, allowing them to provide the best care possible to their patients,” said Derek Baird, director of business affairs at Zynx. “With Zynx Health evidence-based clinical decision support solutions, organizations like Keane will be best positioned to help their clients demonstrate the achievement of meaningful use.”
ZynxOrder is an advanced content management system for developing and maintaining evidence-based order sets, alerts and reminders. The Zynx Health community has created more than 91,000 order sets and plans of care and has documented measurable improvements in the quality of patient care.
Under the terms of the partnership, the implementation of ZynxOrder will provide practitioners with access to valuable evidence-based and experience-based content.
