I'm 16 and I've been having constant sleep paralysis. I only sometimes get nightmares but either way I can't move or talk and that alone is pretty scary. And I just recently found out that some medications that is used for treating ADHD may cause sleep paralysis. I'm taking concerta 36mg and even if I take it at a reasonable time I still get sleep paralysis. And what I would suggest to lessen it is try not to get caffeine, don't take daily naps since it ruins the rem (it's really hard for me cause the meds make me hella sleepy sometimes), try to get rid of the lighting around that could disturb your sleep and try to keep a proper sleeping schedule. If it doesn't go away and it is too bad you can ask your psychiatrist to change the dose of the meds.
