1. Jeremy Swanger Jeremy Swanger United States says:

In the presidential campaign of 2008, then-Senator and nominee Barack Obama promised "Change we can believe in". As expected, change is coming, but we certainly can't, or shouldn't believe in it, as it will surely be the downfall of our country. To be fair to our President though, it really doesn't matter who is in office. Regardless, the government continues to write checks to irresponsible corporate giants, while everyday people who need help get little or nothing. God forbid if the politicians in Washington, though there are a few exceptions, would worry about someone other than themselves, the banks or the labor union-backed auto industry. If the American people really want "change we can believe in", start holding all politicians, regardless of party, responsible for their actions and above all, remember that all politicians, regardless of the office they hold, work for their constituents, NOT the other way around. Keeping the aforementioned in mind, if voters acted accordingly, necessary and meaningful change would come, and that is something we can all believe in.
