It seems to me that studying the effect of previous infection without vaccine against the effect of the vaccine alone would provide useful information. That would not sell people on getting vaccinated, of course, which is the purpose of news today. It might even reinforce survivors decisions not to get vaccinated. News is no longer for the purpose of information, it is used to sell the desired position.
