Excellent and encouraging research. This study reinforces the growing understanding that microorganisms are not merely passive inhabitants of the human body—they actively influence metabolism, immune function, and overall health.
For many years, I have been developing an independent concept called the X-Microorganisms Hypothesis, which proposes that microbial communities may play a much broader role in sustaining life. Beyond gut health, they may collectively contribute to environmental sustainability, nutrient cycling, ecological balance, soil regeneration, and biological resilience.
As more research reveals new functions of microbial communities, I believe science is gradually uncovering only a small part of their true importance. I hope future interdisciplinary research will explore how microbial networks connect human health, plant health, and ecosystem sustainability.
Congratulations to the authors for advancing our understanding of the remarkable microbial world.
