    This is especially true if the researchers have any bias at all, as selection bias is nearly unavoidable in meta analysis.

    I would guess a rabid sexist who conducted the same meta analysis would find clear and distinctive significant differences between males and females.

    So on a topic like this, a meta analysis is interesting.  It may be right, and it may not be.

    I would hold off though, until a similar meta analysis was completed by someone biased against the conclusion of this meta analysis.

    Then I would average the two, and see how it came out.

    Real research is hard, and drawing conclusions from it is even harder to do fairly.
