A biomarker is a biological molecule found in blood, other body fluids, or tissues that is a sign of a normal or abnormal process, or of a condition or disease. A biomarker may be used to see how well the body responds to a treatment for a disease or condition. Also called molecular marker and signature molecule.

Dream Team plans to stop pancreatic cancer before symptoms occur

Deeply entrenched and mature by the time it's found, pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest to defeat. New blood test can reliably detect breast cancer in women with dense and non-dense breast tissue

A new study published in PLOS ONE demonstrates that Videssa® Breast, a multi-protein biomarker blood test for breast cancer, is unaffected by breast density and can reliably rule out breast cancer in women with both dense and non-dense breast tissue. Nearly half of all women in the U.S. have dense breast tissue.
