Endra photoacoustic CT preclinical imaging technology to be brought to Australia by AXT

AXT is proud to announce that they have just signed an exclusive distributorship agreement with US-based Endra Life Sciences. Endra are a developer of photoacoustic (PA) technology for bio-medical imaging and have commercialised their breakthrough technology. EPFL scientists reveal that the brain is not as compact as we thought

Using an innovative method, EPFL scientists show that the brain is not as compact as we have thought all along. To study the fine structure of the brain, including its connections between neurons, the synapses, scientists must use electron microscopes. However, the tissue must first be fixed to prepare it for this high magnification imaging method.

Former National Football League (NFL) players who started playing tackle football before the age of 12 were found to have a higher risk of altered brain development compared to those who started playing at a later age.
