DNAzymes and substrates constitute a platform for logic operations essential to computational processes

New perspectives are opening up in bio-engineering thanks to research jointly carried out by teams of chemists at the University of Liège and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem within the framework of the European MOLOC project (Molecular Logic Circuits). This work has led to the publication of two important publications, one straight after the other, in the Nature Nanotechnology journal.

EHSI reports favorable completion of due diligence with Stand-By Systems

EHSI recently executed an option with Stand-By Systems; owner of the new FDA approved SBS 1615 catalytic oxygen generator, as well as the associated LIFEDGE® and MAYDAY® emergency systems. EHSI is currently performing due diligence under this option.

The National Restaurant Association and UnitedHealthcare are launching the Restaurant Health Care Alliance, offering a suite of products that will help nearly 13 million restaurant employees gain easier access to health care coverage and related products and services. Today, 4 million to 6 million of the nation's nearly 13 million food service industry employees are uninsured at any given time.

Gold Standard/Elsevier, publisher of drug information databases and decision support solutions, has announced its commitment to continue publishing transparent drug pricing information, including average wholesale price and all other current and future pricing benchmarks. This announcement comes amidst statements by other drug database suppliers indicating they will discontinue publishing AWP in 2011.

Catalyst Pharmaceutical Partners, Inc. today announced its financial results for the three month period ended March 31, 2010. The Company reported a net loss of $1,045,043, or $0.06 per basic and diluted share, compared to a net loss of $3,031,201, or $0.22 per basic and diluted share, for the same period in 2009.

Advocates: Nonprofit hospitals too quiet about charity care

Kaiser Health News: Two advocate groups say hospitals make it too difficult for patients to find out whether they are eligible for free or discounted care. Access Project and Community Catalyst, the two groups, released the results of a small, 99-hospital survey Wednesday. The American Hospital Association contends that's too small to be meaningful, and that, at any rate, the issues it raises have been addressed in the health overhaul.
