Hartford Hospital research team receives $238,000 grant from InHealth to study prostate cancer

The Institute for Health Technology Studies (InHealth) has awarded a grant totaling more than $238,000 to a research team at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut to study how various prostate cancer treatments affect a patient's "social capital" the ability to continue working productively in a paying job.

Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company with its parent company Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited today announced the initiation of a Phase III clinical trial for TAK-700 in the U.S. in patients with advanced prostate cancer. TAK-700 is a selective, oral, non-steroidal androgen synthesis inhibitor that in preclinical studies has been shown to selectively bind to and inhibit the enzyme 17,20 lyase in both the testes and adrenal glands.

Nymox awarded federal grant for NX-1207 Phase III BPH clinical trial program

Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a grant of $244,479.25 from the U.S Government under the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project for its ongoing Phase III clinical trial program for NX-1207 for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The grant was the maximum allowable for an individual development program.
