Grand Circle Foundation and Grand Circle travelers donate funds in support of Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti

Alan Lewis, Chairman of Grand Circle Corporation, which owns Grand Circle Travel and Overseas Adventure Travel, today reported that $517,719 has been donated by their charitable arm, Grand Circle Foundation, and by more than 4,000 travelers (4,029) in support of Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.

St. John Ambulance to send first aid and emergency medical care experts to Jacmel

In response to the dire need for emergency humanitarian aid in Haiti, St. John Ambulance is sending an initial team of first aid and emergency medical care experts to Jacmel. The team is expected to leave Montreal by the end of the month. This first team's assessment of local needs will be used to plan the long-term deployment of subsequent teams. Teams will be deployed and supervised from Montreal.
