Health insurance and pharmaceutical industries blamed for problems in the current healthcare system

Whatever the public may think about proposals for health care reform, they blame many different parties for the problems with the system we have now. The health insurance and pharmaceutical industries are the most widely blamed, with most people believing they deserve a “great deal of blame.” However, more than 60% of all adults believe that both Republicans and Democrats in Congress, business, hospitals, former President George W. Bush and doctors should all get at least some blame.

Congress urged to include injury prevention in health care reform

A group of 18 research centers, professional organizations and advocacy groups have joined together to urge Congress to include injury prevention in health care reform. Each day, 475 Americans die from injuries related to motor vehicle crashes, assaults, fires and other trauma. This results in 170,000 deaths every year, more than twice that from diabetes and more than four times that of breast cancer.

Three government trusts in Arizona sign contract with Navitus Health Solutions

Navitus Health Solutions, LLC announced today it has signed contracts to provide pharmacy benefits to three government trusts in Arizona. The contracts are with the Arizona Local Government Employee Benefit Trust (AZLGEBT), Rural Arizona Group Health Trust (RAGHT) and the Cochise Combined Trust.
