BRAX Fundraising, an official licensee of the National Football League, has teamed up with the NFL to present the Back to Football Friday Contest. The contest encourages elementary and middle schools across the country to celebrate their favorite NFL teams on Friday, September 10, for a chance to win one of thirty-four $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 health and wellness grants, and a visit from an NFL player. In addition, an NFL grant will be awarded to every school that registers for Back to Football Friday and participates in a BRAX Spirit Cups Fundraiser during the 2010-2011 school year.

Back to Football Friday continues the NFL's long-standing commitment to youth health and wellness, tying into its PLAY 60 campaign, encouraging kids to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.

BRAX Fundraising, an active participant in NFL PLAY 60, recognizes the budgetary challenges many schools face when trying to maintain youth fitness programs and equipment. The NFL and BRAX Fundraising are working together to provide schools an opportunity to earn an NFL PLAY 60 grant to assist schools in this challenge. If a registered Back to Football Friday school conducts a BRAX Spirit Cups Fundraiser between July 1, 2010, and April 30, 2011, the school will automatically be awarded a PLAY 60 grant of $.50 per sleeve of cups sold, in addition to the normal profit earned.

"At a time when budgets have been significantly reduced, more schools are executing fundraising campaigns to help cover the shortfalls," says Peter Hexter, Partner of BRAX Fundraising, the parent company of Spirit Cups. "By teaming up with the NFL on Back to Football Friday, not only are we celebrating America's passion for the NFL, but we're offering schools a unique opportunity to earn significant funds to support a wide-range of programs and priorities."

"This year's Back to Football Friday Contest continues the tradition the NFL has established of celebrating team spirit, while cultivating a healthier generation of kids," said Peter O'Reilly, Vice President of NFL Fan Strategy and Marketing. "The NFL and BRAX Fundraising are not only committed to helping schools keep fitness a top priority, but also providing solutions to make it a reality."

Registration for the Back to Football Friday Contest ends September 17, 2010.
