IPC The Hospitalist announces acquisition of Hospital Internists of Bristol

IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Hospital Internists of Bristol, LLC.  Based in Bristol, Connecticut, the acquisition builds on IPC's established presence in the New England market. The practice has an annualized volume of approximately 18,000 patient encounters. The owner, Elizabeth Tillman, MD, will remain with the group as Practice Group Leader.  

R. Jeffrey Taylor, IPC's President and COO, commented, "With the welcome addition of Hospital Internists of Bristol, IPC increases its growing presence in New England.
