CAMFT rolls out seven new videos on mental wellness, child development

The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) rolled out seven new videos offering additional resources for Californians searching for information about mental wellness, child development and maintaining relationships.

The 2-5 minute videos feature licensed Marriage and Family Therapist members addressing topical issues, including:

• Changing Behavior in Teens by Victoria Campbell, M.F.T. of Santa Cruz, Calif.
• Children and Divorce – Dos and Don'ts by Susan Kelsey, M.S. of Costa Mesa, Calif.
• Emotion Contagion in Close Relationships by Daniel Sonkin, Ph.D. of Sausalito, Calif.
• How to Choose a Therapist by Sharon Duffy, Psy.D. of Woodland Hills, Calif.
• Talking to Your Teen about Drugs by Ronald Mah, M.A. of San Leandro, Calif.
• Understanding Couples Counseling by Patsy Phillips, Ph.D. of Antioch, Calif.
• Why Don't You Pick a Crying Baby by Ronald Mah, M.A. of San Leandro, Calif.

"The video series offer Californians an opportunity to better understand the support a Marriage and Family Therapist can provide," said Jill Epstein, J.D., executive director of CAMFT.  "The videos not only give people a better understanding of 'what' therapy is they offer people the opportunity to see 'who' a Marriage and Family Therapist is."
