1. Bill Bill United States says:

This medication triggered Dermatomyositis, Raynaud's, and Sjogren's in me within three months after taking the drug. Large Muscle Biopsy confirmed regeneration, degeneration, and Rhabdomyolyisis with the Statins from the Vytorin present. Taking me off the medication in 2007 just before the Biopsy did not improve my condition and I have been on long term care, no remission, since 2007. It can never be proved it caused my diseases, but it sure the heck triggered it. An endocrinologist put me on the drug even knowing I had muscle fatigue and unknown peripheral neuropathy.

I would be very cautious taking statins, especially those with fatigue issues that could be autoimmune in nature. Rhabdomyolysis kills.
