Also while having a lifetime or almost lifetime under-active thyroid (not sure how long it has been Hashimotos for?) In the 3rd trimester of my first baby I only found out that I should have been on double dose for my medication and wasn't told that I should have gone back to a normal dose after the birth. Also had unknown a hernia from my first and I was in excruciating pain for 10 months after the birth. I went through a thyroid storm and massive weight gain that took 12 months to start getting a handle on it. Second baby I had the right medication. I could actually breastfeed until I was told to take different doses on different days because the dose I needed didn't exist so I was over-active at night & under-active by day and my milk supply was on & off and very quickly dried up. Turns out Thyroxine only covers one part of your thyroid needs.. which is also dangerous for pregnant women and their babies. Food for thought!
