    If you take narcotics as prescribed, you are not addicted. You can be weaned off them at any time. I've been on and off them all.  The only one that has side effects when you are weaned off is methadone. You just have to take antidepressants while you're being weaned off...no big deal. Stop worrying about something that is not a problem. If you need narcotics, you need them!
