    I wonder if melatonin given to people on earth with bone loss would likewise increase calcitonin and hence osteoblasts.  It's mentioned in this summary that melatonin has a bone-strengthening effect on post menopausal women.  I've never heard of it being suggested by doctors for osteoporosis though. Why not?  Doctors only mention calcium, Vit D and weight bearing exercises.
