    Thank you for this research.  I'm 78 and have suffered COPD and Pulmonary Sarcoidosis since age about 55.  It did not run in the family, to my knowledge. In 1997 I was in a public toilet booth when a cleaner flooded the floor with a potent liquid cleaner.  I could hardly breath, taking a couple of minutes to get out.  I now wonder whether this is what triggered my lung disorders.
