    We live in Virginia. My mother-in-law has been suffering with a bacterial infection for several years due to her continual need of a stent in her ureter. She has only one kidney and this is becoming a serious problem for her with the constant use of antibiotics, which do not seem to help the infection. How can she go about having her doctor use the carbon-coated stents rather than the other type? She's pretty miserable. Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to pass along to us.
