    What if the patient's spouse can feel and see the fetal movements? What if the family can hear the placenta, fetal movements, and live fetal heartbeat using a doppler? Would this change the diagnosis and treatment? Most doctors no longer use a doppler nor check for fetal heartbeat with a stethoscope nor palpitate the abdomen for a moving mass. The FDA changed the hCG test to accommodate ovarian cancer.
