what you have to understand is that we live in a misandric culture; we have lived in such a culture for some time, in fact (I am now in my middle 30s and cannot recall a time when being a man was some sort of badge of honour). Our culture diminishes men just as it diminishes boys - and men essentially allowed it to happen because they didn't want to endure the endless bs emanating from their wives and female colleagues. Even now, while we concede that there is a problem with the educational failings of our sons, we blame the victims of misandry and not the perpetrators of misandry; we blame little boys for being little boys but we do not look at the "educational experts" who want to turn our sons into lower-case girls. There are a lot of sexists in academia, in the law courts, and in the classroom - but an awful lot of them are not men.
