1. Males do suffer. My son has Rett Syndrome

    Doctors are now finding more males with MECP2 mutation AKA Rett Syndrome. Although not as many boys suffer from Rett Syndrome as girls, it is possible. Many males go undiagnosed or even misdiagnosed due to lack of awareness for boys with Rett Syndrome.
