    That was a lot of fun to read, unfortunately it is incorrect. Acoustic methods based on wave equations can handle heterogeneous flows and temperature fields, and would handle boundary conditions and material properties much more easily than LBM. Even traditionnal CFD methods based on Navier-Stokes methods should do better (because the handling of compressibility or cavitation will be easier than with LBM). The issue with all methods (LBM included) is the numerical cost, and... the knowledge of the media to model.
