1. Floranne Floranne United States says:

I am a low income business owner with no employees.  I am a veteran and go to the VA because I can't afford insurance, including Medicare, on a $10.000 or less yearly income.  What, if any, provisions are in the bill to cover me and others in the same boat?  Most don't have health care because of the cost, not only the insurance, but the co-pays, emergency rooms ($125 for a Tylenol), etc.  How are we supposed to deal with this?  I live in an area with a lot of low income families, much unemployment, many losing homes, and no daylight in sight.  How can we fight this when so many don't even vote?  I was taught in my Government class in High School that the people could get laws changed by petition.  Is this still the case?  Tea Parties may make one feel good, but I believe calling, writing, e-mailing Congressmen is more effective.  They are supposed to represent us, not the insurance companies and drug manufacturers.
