Investigate cutting-edge techniques for studying oligonucleotides in biological matrices.
Oligonucleotide therapies have recently acquired prominence due to their widespread use in genetic abnormalities, cancer, and infectious diseases.
There are many challenges when establishing bioanalytical procedures for oligonucleotide quantification, including stability, recovery, non-specific binding, chromatographic retention, and ionization.
This webinar will show case studies including diverse oligonucleotide architectures, as well as solutions for overcoming bioanalytical problems.
Learning objectives
You will acquire insights into:
- Best methods for preparing oligonucleotide samples
- Strategies for optimal chromatography and ionization setups
- Use modern analytical tools to improve quantitative performance
About the expert speaker
Rathna Veeramachaneni, PhD, Director, Biopharma LC-MS/MS, KCAS Bio (KS, USA)
Rathna J. Veeramachaneni is now the Director of Biopharma LC-MS/MS at KCAS Bio. Rathna's previous experience included working in the pharmaceutical and CRO industries, establishing quantitative methodologies for small- and large-molecule medicines and biomarkers.
Rathna obtained her PhD from Duquesne University (PA, USA), where she worked on cross-linking and proteomic mass spectrometry to identify structural conformational changes in membrane ion channels.
She has worked on a wide range of biopharmaceutical modalities, including oligonucleotides (antibody–oligonucleotide conjugates, duplexes, and antisense oligonucleotides), monoclonal antibodies, antibody–drug conjugates, fusion and chimeric proteins, and biomarkers for small and large molecules such as glycosphingolipids, lipids, and eicosanoids.
Rathna has extensive experience with hybrid LC-MS/MS at the protein and peptide levels, as well as more standard LC-MS/MS assays that use protein precipitation, digestions, and SPE techniques. Her therapeutic expertise encompasses indications for cancerous, inflammatory, neurodegenerative, and uncommon disorders.
Rathna is passionate about applying the latest science to drive and support the drug development process, and she advocates tailored strategic approaches that incorporate key breakthroughs in the ever-expanding field to create creative solutions that are better, faster, and/or more efficient.
