SironRX completes enrollment in Cohort 1 to study JVS-100 for wound healing, scar prevention

SironRX Therapeutics Inc., a privately-held, clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel regenerative therapies to prevent scarring and promote dermal wound repair, is pleased to report that it has completed enrollment of patients in Cohort 1 of its placebo-controlled, randomized, dose escalation double-blind clinical study evaluating the safety and efficacy of JVS-100 to reduce scar formation and improve wound healing in patients receiving surgical sternotomy incisions.

FDA agrees to allow ADial to move forward with Phase III trial of AD04 for alcohol use disorder

Study: Shock wave-facilitated cell therapy improves outcomes in patients with chronic heart failure

Treatment that consisted of shock wave (procedure using high-dose ultrasound)-mediated preconditioning of the target heart tissue prior to administration of bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells was associated with significant, albeit modest improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction (a measure of how well the left ventricle of the heart pumps with each contraction) after 4 months in patients with chronic postinfarction heart failure, according to a study in the April 17 issue of JAMA.
