Aidan Long is a 13-year-old from Kalispell, Mont., who has suffered multiple daily seizures since he was 4. The seizures defy medical cure, and some of them continue for weeks, requiring Aidan to be airlifted to children's hospitals in Denver or Seattle, said his father, Ben Long.

Study explores secondhand smoke exposure rates among nonsmoking adult cancer survivors

From 1999/2000 to 2011/2012, exposure to secondhand smoke among nonsmoking adult cancer survivors declined from 39.6 percent to 15.7 percent, but rates of exposure were higher among those with a history of a smoking-related cancer and those living below the federal poverty level compared with those with other types of cancer and those with the highest incomes, respectively.

Moderate chocolate intake linked to lower risk of atrial fibrillation

A new study led by researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in collaboration with researchers at the Harvard T.H.
