A new drug candidate has been discovered by the University of South Australia to treat the most lethal form of brain cancer - glioblastoma - which kills 95 per cent of patients within five years.

Cancer is the leading cause of death among people with diabetes in England. This is the finding of an 18-year-study of over 300,000 people with diabetes in England, from scientists from Imperial College London and published in the journal The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology.

Aging-US published "Sulforaphane promotes C. elegans longevity and healthspan via DAF- 16/DAF-2 insulin/IGF-1 signaling" which reported that the broccoli-derived isothiocyanate sulforaphane inhibits inflammation, oxidative stress and cancer, but its effect on healthspan and longevity are unclear.
