CPEX Pharmaceuticals to discuss the clinical aspects of nasal insulin therapy

CPEX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. NYSDOH blocks U.S.-Egypt study of ozone-based medical therapies for diabetic skin ulcers

A study exploring the healing of diabetic skin ulcers using topical oxygen/ozone gas mixtures could not proceed to completion and was now abandoned, according to Ozonics International, LLC, a veteran-owned biotechnology company engaged in the research and development of ozone-based medical therapies.

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. National Community Pharmacists Association calls for suspension of the DMEPOS accreditation requirement

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), has written a letter to Charlene Frizzera, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Acting Administrator, urging a suspension of the Medicare Part B Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) accreditation requirement scheduled for October 1.

Forest Laboratories places Armour Thyroid medication on back order

Forest Laboratories, Inc., the maker of the widely used hormone therapy drug, Armour® Thyroid, recently announced it has placed the medication on back order. The company said on its website that it does not have enough of the active ingredient, powdered Thyroid gland, in stock to produce the medication.
